I forgot to mention this yesterday, but I read that Christie Brinkley, the up-town girl herself, turned 51 yesterday.

That can’t be right. Can it?

Where have all the supermodels gone?

Where is Kathy Ireland and Linda Evangelista? Its as weird as knowing that Betty Page is sitting in a nursing home somewhere in California. It just doesn’t feel right.

And why aren’t there any new supermodels anymore? I wouldn’t consider any current popular models to have the same status as the aforementioned names in addition to Cindy Crawford. Models don’t seem to have the super notoriety they used to.

Ah well. At least there is SuicideGirls.

Its hard to even pick up the sports illustrated swimsuit issue anymore. The last great model in last years was Heidi Klum and she likely be hot for another couple decades but she’ll also likely end up off the issue soon (if not this year)

Doesn’t seem that way from watching Top Model. Though I think the main thing is the culture changed, so Models don’t get the exposure that they used to.
